A few months ago, Adidas launched those intelligent F50 miCoach football boots, and it now looks like they’re ready to test the innovative technology on the football pitch. The MLS All-Star Game will take place on July 25th in Philadelphia and will go down in history as the world’s first smart soccer match.

Using the intelligent Adizeros and with the help of the miCoach tracking system, coaches will be able to measure a certain player’s speed and acceleration, the amount of ground being covered, the intensity of play, while also spotting any weaknesses and strengths.

At the end of the game, theĀ  results can be analyzed on a computer or directly from an application on any one of Apple’s devices. According to Adidas, this is only the beginning, as it plans to bring this technology to several other leagues across the world.
