Although it’s rather early to be talking about the next iPhone generation, we have a solid tip from one of our Chinese sources, and decided to share it with the rest of you. It seems that the successor of the iPhone 5s will support an enhanced camera, as well as improved filters over the current model.

iPhone 6 camera

The report from our supply chain sources claims that the iPhone 6 will rock a 10 megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/1.8. As mentioned, alongside this new camera there will also be new and improved filters, which are said to help capture quality images as it minimizes the color shift of CMOS sensors.

Furthermore, the f/1.8 aperture should boost low-light performance while allowing you to take images with shallow depth of field and blur the background while also keeping sharp focus on the closer subjects.

As it turns out, Apple is also working on a new image stabilization mechanism, fact revealed by a recent patent filling. It’s obvious that the Cupertino-based company intends to make up for lost ground in the camera department with this next iPhone., we’ll see what the competition has to say about that.
