HTC decided to simply list this new smartphone on a couple of its regional websites, without making too much of a fuss. And honestly, there's not much about this handset that deserves special attention.

It's called Desire 400 and represents a dual-SIM smartphone featuring the following specs - 4.3" display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz along with 1 GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.6MP front facing snapper and 4GB of in-built memory expandable by microSD slot.

The usual connectivity package is there, as well as a 1,800mAh battery which apparently gives the Desire 400 about 12 hours on 3G talk time. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with some home-backed customization such as Sense UI and BlinkFeed.

The Desire 400 is a decent phone, but like we said, there's nothing really impressive about it which would make a user tempted to purchase it. Low pricing might be a great incentive, but we'll have to wait a couple of days for the official price tag. Oh, and you can expect to get it in three different colors.
