The Ascend Mate 2 4G will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the custom Emotion UI 2.0 from Huawei, and despite the beefy 4,050mAh battery, it got slimmed to 9.5mm (down from 9.9mm), while measuring 202g.

It takes its power from a Snapdragon chipset with four CPU cores clocked at 1.6GHz (we're hearing Cortex-A7) and 2GB RAM, while the storage room has been doubled to 16GB (with a microSD card for more). You can check out its first promo video below:

Connectivity for the Ascend Mate 2 4G also got bumped to Cat. 4 LTE, which does up to 150Mbps downlink. As for the camera, there's a 13MP shooter (f/2.0, 28mm lens, Sony sensor) with 1080p video recording and a more than decent 5MP, f/2.4 front-facing snapper with 1.4µm pixels (that's UltraPixel size).
