The current Android flagship that comes from Huawei is the Ascend P6, a slim, great looking smartphone, which enjoyed some great feedback from users. The specs of the handset are equally impressive, except for the chipset, which delivers more heat than actual processing.

The Chinese manufacturer realizes this issue and plans to solve it by launching an upgraded version of the Ascend P6, which will feature a new massive octa-core CPU. The info is legit, since it comes directly from the company's president Xu Xin Quan, who talked to one of our sources in China.

It's important to mention that the upcoming Ascend P6S will be powered by a true-octa core processor (meaning that all of its cores will be able to operate simultaneously), as opposed to the current batch of Samsung Exynos chipsets which only allow 4 of the cores to work at a time.

Other specifications remain unkonown at this point, but it shouldn't be something too spectacular. Availability and pricing are also a mystery for now, but we'll report back as soon as we hear anything.
