One of the world's best-known tennis players, Maria Sharapova is now the official publicity ambassador for Samsung. During the last four years she had the same position with Sony Ericsson, but the agreement ended in late 2011. Our source tells us that the deal between Samsung and Sharapova will go global from 2013, but for now it only covers Russia and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States).

What's sure is that for the next three years, this beautiful tennis player will promote Samsung's Mobile phones, tablets as well as TV's, running Android or any other platform. Alongside some of her Russian colleagues, Sharapova already posed with the Galaxy Note.

As we said, she's pretty much used to it; she did it for Sony Ericsson, as well as for Motorola, when she helped the American company promote its RAZR flip phones. It's a nice publicity move by Samsung, better than all those anti-iPhone commercials (better, not funnier).
