Despite not announcing anything new, Motorola made an official presence at this year's MWC event, where it did made a couple of interesting announcements.

While responding at a Q&A session, Rick Osterloh, the senior vice president of product management in Motorola revealed that the Moto G is the company's most successful and highest-selling smartphone in history.

This news isn't all that surprising if we consider the great combination of premium build quality, timely OS updates, and affordable price tag which made the Moto G very well-received in every market it was launched.

Furthermore, Motorola is confident that it'll have a great year after the completion of company’s acquisition by Lenovo and also revealed some of its plans for 2014.

It seems like the Moto X will have a follow-up smartphone, which is said to arrive in the summer and enjoy greater availability. The original Moto X was at first US-only, then made its way to all of America, but it was only months later that it managed to reach other places.

The Moto Maker customization tool for Moto X will also enjoy expanded availability, arriving in UK and Germany in Q2 of this year.

Motorola announced that we should also expect a Moto smartwatch, designed to tackle consumer issues such as style and battery life. The time frame is also vague on this device, but all in all it seems like Motorola could make the most of this fresh start.
