We must admit that we're looking forward to this upcoming Moto X flagship smartphone, and we're glad to see it get confirmed by the company's CEO Dennis Woodside. As it turns out, this handset coming from the reinvented, Google-owned Motorola will represent the first smartphone to be assembled in the US.

These US versions of the Moto X will be assembled in Forth Worth, Texas, in a former Nokia facility. Other than this, Motorola's global network of operations will basically remain the same, meaning that the company will continue to manufacture devices in Brazil and China.

Sadly, Dennis Woodside failed to offer us any details regarding the specs, but he did say that the Android flagship will be broadly distributed across a large number of carriers. The image that you see above is nothing more than a render from a previous leak, since there still aren't any official pics of the Moto X.
