This is our first opportunity to show you some photos of the upcoming Sony Ericsson flagship alongside some of its specifications. A rather important aspect is that this handset might just be the last Sony Ericsson high-end smartphone to carry the Ericsson brand as well, since the phone maker will only stick to the Sony name from next year on.

As we mentioned, this smartphone is codenamed Nozomi and is expected to come with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread upon its launch, as well as a 4.3 inch LCD display with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720p and a 12MP camera with fullHD video recording.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi will probably represent the company's first handset ever to feature a dual-core processor, namely a 1.5GHz Scorpion with an Adreno 220 GPU. What's interesting is that the Nozomi Arc HD doesn't use a microSD card slot, instead it has a microSIM slot and the battery appears to be non-user removable.

There will also be at least 1GB of RAM, an HDMI port and 16GB of on-board storage. We haven't got an official launch date, but we're hoping that the device will make its appearance at CES or MWC, in the beginning of 2012.
