Nokia Normandy is said to be a low-cost Android phone

The Nokia Normandy is prepared to run a heavily modified Android version, somewhat similar to the Amazon Kindle Fire lineup. This will give the Nokia handset a chance to run some popular Android apps, ,which is currently a major shortcoming of the Ashas.

All signs indicate that the development for this device are at full steam and we expect it to be released in early 2014. Obviously, considering Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia's devices & services units being in the final stages, it'll be interesting how the Redmond company feels about the Normandy.
