Only three droids from this lineup - Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V - still have the chance to enjoy a KitKat update, which is apparently under investigation. However, we wouldn't get our hopes too high, considering the fate of their siblings.

Stuck on Ice Cream Sandwich forever are the following - Xperia U, Xperia tipo (and tipo dual), Xperia sola, Xperia miro, and Xperia arc S.

As for the Xperia SL, Xperia ion, Xperia acro S, Xperia J, Xperia go, Xperia S, and Xperia P, they'll take one step further to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Obviously, there's always the option of third-party developers for newer Android releases, but we never truly recommend it.
